First hunt with the new thermal. A little rusty the first time out but I hope to get better.

Shots were made from 200 yards off a fixed mount.

Shooting a 6.8 caliber with 115gn fmj.

The original picture quality is much better than shown as I uploaded without the benefit of wifi.

This is a Manfrotto 322RC2 Joystick camera mount with a LaRue quick disconnect rail adapter that LaRue designed specifically for it. They are designed to mount on tripods.

I have a motion detector mounted to the feeder that sends a signal to a chime in the house. When it goes off I carry the gun to the back fence....lock in the quick connect and shoot.

For a first thermal hunt, you started with one of the best scopes out there! Cool setup. I like!

I am so jealous of that kind of hunting convenience! Nice setup. It takes some practice to quickly pick one out when the running starts and stick with it. Excellent shooting at that distance.

Best scope out there right now IMO. Slick mount. I run 6.8's also and have had good luck with Hornady 123 SST's. Enjoy!

That's a great idea and nice set up. I'm on 10 acres with hogs and will have to devise a similar set up.

Ok, got home....edited and downloaded the video on the desktop. Its a little better quality. Listen for the thump as I hit the hog the second time.

Scope has a decent microphone.

It's not nearly as easy to shoot at running hogs as people seem to think it is, is it? Takes lots of practice. Stay after them. By the way did you notice the blood squirting out the side of the one hog before it dropped?

Killed another pig with it last night. Knocked him off his feet and he ran into the woods. Coyotes were singing back there literally 5 minutes later.......couldn't believe how fast they found him. Will see what's left of him in a little while. Had a duh moment.....turned the video output on to record and didn't turn on the MDVR. Still learning.

You lazy rascal you!!!

If that's not the slickest setup I've ever seen, I don't know what is.
