Took this young 5 point cull for the freezer with my bow. He had a crab claw was very narrow and we've got 10-12 bucks on the place and maybe 4-6 does. First deer I've taken with a bow. Martin threshold basic setup with whisker bisquit and tru-glo 3 pin sight. He was right at around 18 yards or so quartering away from me. Tried to put it right in the boiler room but ended up hitting this guy high up on his rear hind quarter. He went maybe 50 yards or so. Field dressed him on sight and removed the broad head by unscrewing it and pulling out the arrow shaft. Took out his lungs with this shot. On hind sight I probably shouldn't have taken this shot but it ended up working out. If you look real close you can see the fletching and small part of the arrow still visible.

Congrats on the first of hopefully many. Might not have been the greatest shot but you got it done.
Should be some good eating

It happens but you got lucky and were able to recover him. Congrats on the meat in the freezer!
