Dang, I'll never live long enough to shoot the bullets I already have.

So, has anyone punched any of them down range? If so, how did they perform?

I've talked to a few guys that have ran them with good luck. Bc has been a touch higher and it seems hit or miss on seating depth comparability.

My 6mm creed barrel has 1500rds so I'm not sure if I'll try them now or after the new tube gets spun on.

Load em for 600 yard shooting and use them on hogs at 50 yards! Report back.

Meh. Cheaper than berger hybrids with a better bc. Easier to get so far than the dtac and doesn't seem like it will need a 7 twist like the new 110 sierra.

So 1500 rounds is at the barrel life limit for the 6MM Creed? I figured with the sharp shoulder and long neck barrel life would be much better than the 243 has.

It still has more life and is shooting lights out. I'm going to have a new tube spun up because I don't want it to go south mid match.

Barrel life with them seems a bit subjective depending on who you ask. Some say as little as 1200 where others are in the 2500 area. Shooting habits obviously matter so if a fella can keep the heat down it'll likely last longer.

confused2 I see there are enough 105gr high BC bullets....so Nosler and other bullet makers should rest on their laurels and not attempt to provide the reloading community with options. Oh Well Glad to see someone who has found bullet nirvana

I was considering building a 243AI 8 twist barrel simply to get more barrel life than the standard 243 and to push the longer pointy bullets but maybe not if that's all that is expected for barrel life. Seems loading 100 fps off max would do more for the life of the barrel.

It might live a bit longer. The majority of those 1500rds has been prs shooting which is pretty hard on barrels. It can be 10rds in 90sec or more. If conditions are solid then those rounds can go much faster than the time allotted.

I see rate of fire can be faster than I would be doing. I seldom let a barrel get more than warm. But I do shoot thousands of rounds a year.

We tried playing with the new 70 grain RDF bullet in an AR-15, and it's not done well at all. 2 barrels, 4 powders tried, lots of testing and loading with it. Finally decided to move on. If you can seat the bullet out longer than mag length, they may work. But in a short 2.260" mag length, it was rough going.
