Hey all! I am putting together a group to go on a FREE RANGE Elk COW hunt the second weekend in January (14th and 15th)! The ranch has a ton of free range ELK Cows available.

This would be arriving Friday evening, lodging Friday night, hunt all day Saturday, lodging Saturday night, and hunt all day Sunday and leave Sunday evening.

The price is 800 a gun and that includes lodging for 2 nights. (50% off for my group)

Shots will be from 200-400 yards long, so you must be ok with that distance.

This is on a 30k acer ranch in West Texas, and the owner consistently keeps up with where the Elk are at. This will NOT be a sit in the blind hunt, and we will be stalking and stalking some more to get close enough for a shot without spooking the herd.

I will also be filming an episode for our website TXGameHunters.com so you will be featured on that as well.

The hunt is in Dryden, Texas.

I don't know personally, I saw him advertising these hunts on Facebook a few months back
and was just trying to see if it was the same hunt.

l'll cut to the chase. Garrett is a poacher and in jail now. Been since Friday when he was arrested for this. Hopefully Joseph will explain. I have ever no idea if this elk hunt was legit or not but he was running illegal deer and hog hunts on my buddies place.

THe Elk hunt was originally set up through GD - But he directed us to the Actual Owner of the ranch Payden Ward. Payden rescheduled the hunt due to the elk not being on cameras for two weeks and did not want to waste our money. But as it turns out GArrett is NOT good people... Posting another thread to explain. He had us all fooled....

But the ELk hunt is still on through the actual owner at the other ranch in West Texas.

Payden is good people, hope it works out for you. I've known his family for a good while.

It's amazing how people talk to someone on the phone 1 or 2 times and vouch for them being good people. Glad he got caught before you could get anyone else caught up with this guy be careful who you promote.

Didn't you (Trousdale) do a wt hunt with Duval in South Texas?

Yes I did, and the video I did while on that hunt is what lead to his arrest. I am sick that I was tricked along with over 20 other hunters, but I am glad I was becuase it is the reason he got caught.

No. It shouldn't. It should be left up as a reminder for all to quadruple check who they are hunting with. Period.
