$2250

400 Acre high fence within a bigger property

I can only do weekends right now, but this may not be an easy hunt.

High powered Rifle only (308, 30.06, magnums etc.)

The ranch is in Medina Texas which is 45mi NW of San Antonio.

$100 a day fee for my time, up front non refundable.

Lodging included for Sat night, but if driving from out of town we can put you up Fri night if need be to be ready for Sat AM for an additional $50.

Will provide breakfast on Sunday morning but the rest of the food/drinks are your responsibility.

I would prefer to limit it to 3 people max with 1 shooter.

There is a catfish tank if there is a kid involved, bring a pole, some nice ones in there.

It will be a combo of driving in my vehicle/stalking to find them.

I have had him on camera at the Alfalfa every day so if nothing else I should be able to put you on him at the feeder.

I can help with whatever needs to be done, but be warned, I have zero experience field dressing a Ram, ha!

Any other questions please ask, I want to make sure the hunter knows what to expect. Thanks for looking!!

PM me with details and contact number or text me at 210-823-1295, first come first serve obviously.

Disclaimer: I am not a professional guide but I will accompany you for the hunt to ID the animal, help load, etc. I am a novice hunter that inherited the family property that was set up as a hunting ranch and all the animals that came with it. This is simply a way to reduce our expenses and generate some money to pay the taxes and you to have the experience of the hunt and get some good meat for the fridge or something to put on the wall...

I'll put up a couple more pics this evening when I get home...

Thanks for looking!

This, it looks more like a mouflon cross.

If the ram were a pure European Mouflon and in the low to mid 30 inch range the $2250 would be a fair price even with no food or lodging. From the pics it looks like this ram is a hybrid and not a pure ( or near pure) Mouflon.

So assuming he is a hybrid the trophy fee of $2250 is high. What he is worth is whatever someone is willing to pay.

Thanks all for the info. I was told he was purchased a few years back as a pure mouflan. I will take you guys word for it as I am by no means an expert. He doesnt cost me a thing to have so I dont need to sell him, but if anyone is interested shoot me an offer and we'll go from there. He sure is a good looking animal pure or not...

FYI, This one is pretty pure. I tried selling him last year for $2500 and had no takers if that helps.

Definitely a cross but you won't be able to tell on the wall. I'd bring a magnum for sure. Ours are euro mouflon and those 90 lb monsters can take some lead. Im just kidding. Any deer rifle will work or you could chase him down on a 4 wheeler take trophy picks and release him.

Man Don K, that's a beautiful ram. I would have been all over that last year if I saw it. I shot a Mouflan Ram a few years ago and paid more for a lesser ram. The ranch owner got to the best of me in my youth and first exotic hunt when it came to price.

But again, that's a great Ram!
