I think my friend the rat has created a corn bank inside my buggy muffler. Besides the nice smell of burnt corn do I have any other worries?

They will destroy the wiring, and if they build a nest in the muffler it could clog it - fire.

They will destroy the wiring, and if they build a nest in the muffler it could clog it - fire. She brought a whole new... oh [censored]... scenario  Good luck. Hope you found good insurance

Had a gator inside a barn and had mice/rats chew through the entire main wiring harness. Had to go in there and splice every wire together to get it running again. Wasn't real tough, but it was real unnecessary.

It will create back pressure on the valves causing it to backfire if exhaust is too clogged. Ask me how I know!

Had the same issue. Didnt hurt anything but it did stink and smoke like crazy once the nest caught fire. Once it burned up I never had another issue.

Turned out a few corns got on the motor. There is a screen in the muffler preventing fury friends

Many years ago I bought and old Type 3 Volkswagen Fast Back with the fuel injected 1600. I swapped out the injection system for a normally aspirated carburetor system. When I was done I cranked it up and when it fired it shot black-eyed pea's all over the shop. Years of sitting in the field turned it into a storage silo for rat's.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.
