I am thinking about using Harwell Taxidermy in Rowlett and would like to know others thoughts on their work. I have seen only positives reactions on the site thus far. Any additional feedback would be appreciated.Thanks.

My neighbor has several mounts done by Harwell. On his recommendation, I had my buck done there last yr. Excellent work, I couldn't be happier with the mount. I dropped him off at the end of Dec. and picked him up in Sept.

He's always done good work for me. I've had a full body bobcat done, 1 whitetail and 1 Mouflan. All came out great.

He's been around since I think the 60's.

I don't play that game even if someone asks. Taxidermy is very personal.

I know taxidermy is very personal, and I by no means want to hurt anybodies feeling. That being said, when someone ask how a mount is, it is hard for me to say it looks great when I see defects. The mount pictured above is passable, but in my opinion, the hair line on the bottom lip is off by about a half an inch to the right, the dark patch on the chin is not centered where it should be. The upper eye lids are set to high, if the deer tried to blink, his eyeball would be in the way. The ear buds look a little off me and lastly I think his nose is to black. A whitetails nose is not jet black. These are just my opinions, I am not trying to ruffle any feathers or put down anybodies work. A question was asked, I am simply answering it.
