Guys, just left academy in grapevine. Price checked the little buddy heaters. They were both ringing up for $79.99. That was smaller one (3800 btu) and next size up (4800 btu). The larger of the two was listed for like $159 but scanned for $79

I paid $59.99 for the smaller Little Buddy at Walmart earlier this week.
I've never seen the larger model for $159. Perhaps they inflated the price to make it appear as a better deal. Saw the news report where the AG in California filed suit against several major,retailers for using that scam on customers.

Does anyone know where you get the canisters? The local TSC didn't have them and neither did Wal-Mart. I don't know what size of canister this uses or where to get a canister. An Academy is about 35 miles from me.

Does anyone know where you get the canisters? The local TSC didn't have them and neither did Wal-Mart. I don't know what size of canister this uses or where to get a canister. An Academy is about 35 miles from me. Curtis, I must have got lucky, got mine at walmart. I know you can get an adapter kit to refill them from a 20# bottle as well.

The large one will heat a large area. I use one to heat my 14x24 shop, and it gets toasty inside it. I run it off a 20lb tank.
I have the smaller one in my blind,and it will burn you out on the low setting.

I tried this yesterday the one for 159 and it didn't work... they have one for regular 79 and Walmart has the same one for 69. Sucks really wanted one
