Great pic. Tough to find a designated picture taker when the birds are plentiful, everybody wants to shoot with something besides a camera. Trying to get Mrs. Dancewithquail out some this season with my DSLR to get some covey rise shots. I brought it on a one day hunt last week and she has trouble getting it to work - battery wasnt in there, sitting back in the charger in Dallas.

Did get this one of the 8 mos old (and Sadie in the background on the same covey) that turned out pretty good being off a small pocketable

That western OK country looks a lot more gentlemanly to hunt too; I went through some broomweed last Friday that was almost arm pit high - tough on man and beast

I agree about the cover, used to hunt the Selman ranch south of Woodward and it was easy going. My lease is heavy shinnery and until we get a good hard freeze the dogs are having to jump through it.

Sadie looks as good on point as any pointer I've ever seen.

Used to hunt a lot at Ellis county PHA. We also had a nice lease east of Arnett around Harmon. Great area.
