I'm shopping for a new blaze orange vest. Would like it to be vented, and have some small pockets for astro 220 and tritronics controller. Went to Academy and Cabelas, only vest I found that fit met needs was a tactical vest at Cabelas. It came in 3 colors, but not orange. Guess I'll start looking on inter web. Know of any websites?

Take a look at Q5 Outdoor Products. They offer a variety of vests. You can either buy a complete vest or a base vest and add only the options you want. The Quilomene San Carlos is a nice warm weather vest. http://www.q5outdoorproducts.com/upland-vests/

I like the Orvis vest. The whole bag is strong mesh. It's got a big zipper pocket in the back..all super story mesh. The front has waxed canvas she'll bags with these metal closures that won't let anything fall out. It's two huge partitioned pockets on either side. I had three pheasants in mine and lots of water for me and my dog and a bowl and it was still easy to move and get things.

+1 on Mother but I think they went out of business. Great on your back. Shell bags will only let you carry about a box of 12 ga shells tho

Thanks for the replies!
But its easy to find a vest that carries shells, birds, or water. Surely somebody carries a vest with controller and gps pockets. I did find one on Cabelas website, but only available in SMALL size.

So I was in the same boat last year and decided to go with the coyote leather pro hunter belt. All the vest I found would not hold three pheasant comfortably, this belt will, and if you don't like the belt feel, then you strap some suspenders on it to make it the best it can be! http://www.gundogsupply.com/coyote-pro-h...CFcK4wAodTzkGRQ

Although out of stock right now, this one does appear to have the pockets for remotes. http://www.alpsoutdoorz.com/products/extreme/upland-game-vest-x

Will never put my controller anywhere, but around my neck. I was sick at my stomach the one time it fell out of my pocket.

Mine goes around my neck and in my shirt pocket. There are pockets in my vest but the problem is when I need the remote I need it asap. I can't be digging in pockets. I've looped it around the strap vest and put it in the pocket but around the neck works better. Last weekend I saved myself from a porcupine disaster by have the remote in my shirt pocket.
