Looking to pick up a new (to me) 45acp soon. Two choices I am looking at are both used. One is a Sig Sauer P220R DAK police trade it. Gun only comes with one mag and night sights that are unknown regarding remaining life. The other is a Springfield XDM 45.
The price is $420 plus shipping and transfer fee for the Sig and $430 for the Springfield locally.
Gun is going to be used for a nightstand/range/winter carry gun. Also interested in maybe throwing a heavy recoil spring and shooting some 450 SMC ammo in it as well.
I have shot a Sig with a DAK trigger and don't mind it at all. I carry a Glock on duty, so the XDM trigger is nothing new to me. Magazine availability is a major concern with the Sig.
Just curious as to some of your thoughts.

That's a tough one as I liked both of the ones I had. Being a Sig guy I would lean more towards the Sig and then send it to Sig for the enhance trigger package

I'd go with the XD over a DAK sig any day.

DAK would be a deal breaker for me...but that's just me. Me too. I love Sig, but I'd take the Springfield in this situation.

Man, no love for the DAK. With the enhancement package by Sig, it's a great trigger with little take up and super short resets
