Is it one trigger that fires both barrels? Looks like it's a 1-piece slide, so it would almost have to be. If so, what's the point?

Looks to me of a perfect illustration of the notion that just because you can does not mean that you should. Totally useless. That was my impression too....$4k for a novelty to show off and play with....completely impractical.

It has been out a few years. We talked to them about repping it. Went and shot them too. They are a beast and not fun to shoot.

I'd rather have a Desert eagle in 44mag. About same size grip and same weight but a whole lot more power than even double .45 slugs with about the same recoil I'd imagine
