Went out late morning yesterday because of the rain. What a crazy day.... deer moved throughout the rest of the day. Finally right at 5:00 what I consider a shooter came in from the west moving east. I snapped a pic with my camera grabbed my 30-06 and shot him before he got back in to the trees. Measuring on the hunt stand ap it was a 373 yard shot.

Heath, Mr. T, Tye - great deer as usual from our Eastland county representatives. samh, here I was thinking you only hunted public land and depended on draws? Great photos and a nice buck. As much spare time as I've had this year, I haven't hunted near like I had planned. And I've yet to see a legal buck as well. Most action was November 1st - 15th. I have a free choice feeder they're killing but have yet to see anything substantial there. I finally put a camera out so something's got to give.

Thanks Shane cheers

You need to turn some of that spare time into your time and get in the woods my friend.
Good luck up

You get that from a previous post or do we know each other? A friend called and asked if I would help him and get on a lease with him, I said I would think about it. My wife asked what he wanted I told her and she said "you call him back right now and tell him yes!!!!" So I actually had no choice in it...glad she is so convincing.

I do hunt the drawn hunts, I got lucky again this year and will spend the week before Christmas on the Matador WMA on a doe hunt. Years I don't catch a drawn I hit the road for stand by chances or hunt friends or families land. The good thing about a lease is a chance to spend as many hours as I want in the stand watching deer turkeys or what ever.
