Am I logging in to the correct LTC status page?
https://txapps.texas.gov/txapp/txdps/chl/

I submitted everything 11/14/16. I went to that page and logged in as a returning customer just to check the status. I would figure they are still reviewing it since it has only been 2 weeks. But after logging in, the page shows nothing about the status of my application. It only has a link to apply to be an instructor. It says the information will no longer be available after the LTC has been approved but it seems too soon and I have received nothing other than a confirmation e-mail saying they received the application. And I have not received the LTC in the mail. I know they charged my credit card for it.

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

What you are seeing is correct. Once you are approved the options will change to "change address", "report stolen or lost license", etc. That page means you just need to sit back and wait. Once it changes, then you know you have been approved and it should be on the way in a week or so.

This is what it looks like once you are approved.

Give it a little longer and the checklist will appear. Trust me, it's a brutal couple of weeks. It won't be long though. Mine was less than 4 weeks from class and submission, to license in my mailbox.

Thanks for the responses. It would be nice if it said "Application completed" "CHL-100 received" "Fingerprints received". I guess I will just assume it is all OK.

It will say all of that soon. I sweated it just like you are for a week or so. The worst part is when everything is good to go except print pending. Just check everyday and it will show license mailed just a couple of days after that. Next thing you know, you'll be carrying everyday and all is good. I went through all this a few months ago. I actually posted on here and didnt get any repies. I was worried just like you are. Give it a week or so. PM if you have any questions.

Seriously, no need to assume. That is what it looks like for everyone. Check out the Texas CHL forum, they have good timelines for getting approval posted there.

I tried signing up for the Texas CHL Forum. Apparently it didn't like my answers of The Alamo, Alamo, alamo, or San Antonio for the security question. It said I had too many incorrect answers to the question so it locked me out for a while. Guess I won't be joining there.

Yea that might be the most retarded thing they have done on that site. The answer is: San Jacinto FYI. Good info there if you are willing to give it another try.

Ah, yeah, The Battle of San Jacinto. Guess I should have read the question correctly. Thanks.

Status page finally changed. Looks a lot different now.

That is new, I guess enough people complained and they added that status update. That wasn't there earlier this year.

Myself, wife and another couple took class same time. They got theirs in 10 days. Mine was 34 days IIRC.

Mine now says background check completed and print pending after 18 days. From what I hear, they have a pretty slow printer.

Still waiting on mine since October. Funny they can background check me in 10 minutes to buy a pistol, but it takes over 6 weeks and counting to get my permit scratch

One guy I talked to waited 3 months to get his. Another guy I talked to got his in 2 weeks. Mine took 3 weeks to get it in my hand. Apparently the wait time is all over the place.

These background checks are a joke. I don't understand how some take 2weeks and others take months bunch of BS you either get it or you don't. They sure as hell like taking my money!
