I always tell people to stay away from used ATV's with lift kits and snorkels. But if this guy is your friend and you know how it's been used, then you can make that call. If it has over sized tires that can be hard on the belt drive system. Don't know of a lot of issues with them. We have a 2014 Teryx and love it

Bigpig is spot on. I helped a buddy of mine build a 2008 up, and its weakest link was the drive belt system. You can, however, buy upgraded clutch systems I believe that are better for the bigger tires, but no idea how much they run. My buddy ran the snot out of his and the only problem he had was replacing the belt once. But he buried it in some gumbo mud with some pretty gnarly tires and some hopped up engine performance parts...with a stock clutch. That thing was a beast.

When did they go to fuel injection on those? I know the 08s were carbed but cant remember when they changed. I'm going to venture to say $6000-6500 or slightly higher if you know how meticulous he was about upkeep.

I paid 4500 for my sons 09, last Summer.. It's in good shape. Also had a hard roof with speakers in it.. I'd pay 6k for a pristine, low hours machine.. Otherwise, 4500-5k.

This should help. Start there and add options for a realistic price. http://www.nadaguides.com/Motorcycles/2009/Kawasaki/KRF750K9F-TERYX-4X4-HD-749ccAnd like BigPig said: Big tires put more stress on driveline - the drive belt is already the weak link in a lot of ATV/SXS vehicles. Lift kits sometimes put components right at the edge of their operating angles and CV joints will wear out quicker. If the body is cut away for snorkels or still has them, run away! I've also seen a lot of nice handling ATVs turn into ill handling pieces of crap with wide tires and lift kits due to bump steer and being top heavy.
