 1st harvest with my new 308!

He's not the biggest buck in the county but he makes me happy. I had a crack at a 140" buck 5 min earlier but he was hot on the does trail and couldn't get him to stop for a clean shot. Then this guy comes along on the same trail and as I was leaning on a round bail of hay and this joker literally came up the the bail looking for that doe and I coulda slapped him on the head! He stepped out to about 12 yards and I let him have it lol!

Nice buck. What part of northeast Texas, near Clarksville? Just curious,a friend has land up there, terrain looks similar. He's killed a couple of dandies up there.

It's not too far from there, up north of commerce in all that crop land. There are some good ones roaming around from time to time! I took a 140" 9 point 2 years ago and have had lots of bigger ones on cam.
