For those of you who carry, how many rounds does your weapon hold and do you carry a reload? I alternate between an LCP and a Kahr CW9. The LCP holds 6+1, Kahr is 7+1, and I always have a spare mag.

G26 with 12+1 (10rd mag w/ +2 extension) and a 15rd spare.

Regardless of what I am carrying, I always carry a spare mag. I don't carry it for more ammo. In my opinion if I need more than 7 rounds, I am in over my head and need to be heading for my rifle or backup. I carry a spare because you never know when a magazine may fail and instead of trying to troubleshoot an issue during a firefight, I can drop my mag and start over.

That sounds reasonable to me.

Carry a shield in .40 with the extended max 7+1 and carry a 6 round mag in my pocket. I started carrying the extra mag after the police shooting in July. I felt like we were at a tipping point and everything could blow up any day. Then I realized it's not any more inconvenient to carry the extra mag, so I just never stopped.

I had been carrying my G29 in 10mm with 10 rounds. After all the BLM crap and latest political unrest, I went to a full size G20 as my carry gun- more rounds and easier to shoot better than my G29.

Carry Glock 19 and a spare Glock 17 magazine for 33 rounds total.

Depends on the weather, what I'm wearing and time of year.

Running to the store or around the house.... Ruger LCR .38. 5 rounds and two strip clips for 15.

Summer IWB is a P938. 7+1 and an additional 7 in my pocket.

Winter wear is a CZ Compact Clone. 15+1 and "generally" a backup magazine.

So I generally have 15 rounds on me and very occasionally have an extra 15.

Sig P226 357sig. It holds 15+1. On duty I have 3 spare 15 round mags on my belt(61 total), and another 3 spare 15 round mags on my heavy vest (45 total) for a grand total of 106. Off duty is same gun and 1 spare 12 round mag.

This or a P238 7+1
