So, I'd like to know what folks think---folks who have actually fired one of these. I don't care how much better you think a Glock is unless you've experienced the 938, or what you think of the 9mm as a defense cartridge (although I obviously can't squelch such expression), I just want to know first-hand impressions of the pistol. I've handled the P938 myself, and it seems like a first-class little pistol. I really like the idea of the potency of the 9mm in such a small package.

So, fire away PLEASE.

Never read anything bad about one. All that I've handled seemed just fine.

The best little pistol I have, accurate, when I go it's what I take with me

We have one an I absolutely hate it. I'm a 6', 210lb man who likes large sized grips and the thing is just so hard for me to hold. I knew it the instant I held one at the store and shooting it merely confirmed it.

Now my wife on the other hand, pun intended, shoots it very well. In fact, it's the only pistol she shoot significantly better than I can even though I've shot thousands of rounds more than her overall. She's 5'2" and 120lb soaking wet and not pregnant. It's her carry piece.

Fit issue and shooter preference aside...
Feels and functions like a little 1911.
Trigger is a little stiff but definitely not a deal breaker for me.
Had some jams early only but much like my other 1911's, it seems like it parts wore together and don't really have those issues anymore.
Kicks noticeable more than my carry piece, a glock 26. Once again, not a deal breaker for us.

Much prefer the S&W Shield. Like KR, I'm a fairly large guy with large hands and the 938 doesn't fit well at all. They're definitely well-made, but not ergonomically for everyone.

Yeah, I can see where the diminutive grip could be a problem. I can get two fingers around it---maybe 1-3/4 would be more like it. I think I can hang on to one. I'm really fishing for feedback on its reliability and accuracy, though.

RR, I have not shot a P938 so no first hand experience. However I own a Kel-Tec PF9 which is about the same size and it is snappy when shot. It is not one to shoot for fun all day.
It should be reliable, my P239 is, as far as accuracy it is a small gun. Probably the closer the better.

I like them, BUT they need the extended mag to add about a 1/2" to the grip. I'm a Glock man, but the last 2 years I have sold 238/938s 2-1 over any of my other brands including Glocks. The 1911 feel is there, but it's very short. Buy one with Night Sights!

I carry one regularly, and my wife also has one. I like it because I'm a 1911 fan, and it feels good. I have not had any issues with mine or my wife's. I have owned and carried sigs for over 20 years and have never had a problem with any of them.

I've had my Extreme P938 for almost three years, and it is my most carried sidearm. It fits comfortably with a Shepherd IWB holster. I've only put about about a thousand rounds through mine, but it has never failed in any way. I generally only shoot hand-loads; so not much info outside of Hornady Critical Defense.

Simply phrased, I wouldn't give it up. It shoots well, cycles well, and conceals well.

100% reliable, Comfortable Carry, accurate and 1911 like operation. Try the BRG version I found it a much better fit for my hand than other versions. It has become my EDC so I am willing to stake my life on it if necessary.

As posted, reliability was an issue at first. If I had to do it all over again, I'd make sure I get a couple hundred rounds through to make sure all the kinks wear themselves into place.
As for accuracy, my wife's results are definitely good enough to where I feel comfortable with her carrying. she can easily put all 6, I think, shots in like a 3-4" circle at 7yards. Obviously she's no expert, and neither am I, but she shoots better than most yahoos at the range in general. Just as a frame of reference, for whatever reason she shoots our glock 26 better.

I'll confess...I already bought a pair. My wife has one she won't know about until Christmas. I figured that I could trust Sig's reputation and you guys have confirmed what I believed. Thanks for the comments!
