Shot this 5x5 late Monday evening in Lamb County. Hunting had been tough with all the hot weather we've had the past few weeks. It was around 65* when I shot him feeding in a cotton field. Every buck I saw this year was passing up milo and cut corn to feed on cotton. Nailed him at around 275 yards with Remington CDL SF 300 WM.

Very nice buck! Has been a really strange year for sure. Hot weather really putting them on a different pattern from normal. From what I can tell talking to other ranchers, and the lack of bragging pics posted, harvest is way down so far. Hope it picks up toward the end of the season.

Nice buck! Seeing the youngsters in Motley county but no shooters have shown up since season opened. I'm going back Thursday for the last 3 days. We have pics of an old timer with a forked drop tine but he hasn't made an appearance while we are in the stand. I'm still hopeful that my grandson gets a chance at him.

I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.

Now that season is over and it has cooled off, I'm sure the big boys are coming out to play.

Nice one, I've been seeing a lot of muley does around my house but no bucks yet this year. Will probably appear now that the season is over.
