These two videos show a 2K acre tract that has been thinned and groomed for quail. It was covered in old oak and pine and only deer and coyotes used it. Quail are now moving in and the owner is part of a program that will have the state trans-locate wild birds there this year. It's in the final stages of a multi year effort by a dedicated bird dog man in of all places New Jersey. The video shows the first training sessions on the property with pro handler Matt Basilone and Beau (Jayhawk Thunder) a dog I was lucky enough to own for 4 years and sold to the land owner several years ago. There is more hard work and money involved here than the average guy could commit to but shows it can be done and even in New Jersey. Thanks Bobcat1 for the links. https://youtu.be/YUqp26WJF60https://youtu.be/ZNT1Hmacdh4

Great dog work. Thanks a bunch for posting. My neighbor has access to 1,600 acres near Navasota. They work with a biologist who says that it mostly will not work in that area.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill
