I am going to build a blind this next year, a big one. What are some things you have done to the interior of you blind that you don't necessarily need and others would say are you hunting or living there..lol? Post up some pics of the interior also so I can get some ideas.
An example. Saw a guy that put a USB and 12volt port in the wall

I had an extra string of white solar Christmas lights.....
I put a small inline switch on the inside, put the solar panel/battery box outside in the sun and ran the lights around the inside top of blind. I use them when I get into or out of the blind at night or before we uncover the windows.

Funnel with a buried hose to wiz in, big propane tank with a hose for your heater. My dad put a toilet seat in his this year on hinges to folds down and you can slide a bucket right under it and do your business. He said he's too old to be climbing ladders in a hurry.
You can run but you can't hide...

I've got a solar panel with a marine battery that powers a cigarette lighter adapter, a couple of red LED clearance lights mounted on the ceiling, and a small computer fan that blows over top of the Buddy heater to circulate the heat.

Nicely trimmed with weathered cedar. I figure this shabby chic look will add $200 to it's value.

I've got a solar panel wired to a feeder battery. It powers a 12V charging station, and green LED "make ready" lights mounted down low off a switch near the door. That way you can get your gear sorted in the dark without flashing a headlamp everywhere. Also have a little huffer fan for those hot days. Other good things are shelves high and low, with rubber liners to keep them quiet. I keep a foam mat rolled up on the high shelves for mid-day siestas. Carpet on the walls to soak up the bumps, and rubber horse mat on the floor. Also have window screens in the back two windows to let 'er vent in the early season (no shot to the rear at my spot).

Some good ideas right there guys, I appreciate it. Solar panel and a 12 volt battery for L.E.D lights- "Genius", and why not a phone charger to go with it.Going to spoil myself a little for next year for sure.

Wow, very nice blinds--for the most part, mine are very bare. Mr. Buddy, crappy chairs(put all your money in the chairs)my windows are crap(get good Windows) my floor and covering is bad(make sure the floor is quiet) and get one of those water tight plastic containers at the boat section of Academy. Put some matches, toothpicks, a small light, some ear plugs, etc. and get to hunting.

Thinking about this post while hunting today and realized how much more we've accumulated to make hunting "comfortable". Portable Toilet Big Buddy Heater and rat poison, keeps unwanted rodents in check. Broom and dust pan Snow shovel Dry erase board to keep kids occupied and for leaving messages. Magazine rack Radio Garbage bags

Would appreciate some DIY info if you've still got it. Great ideas

All great Ideas, start with the basics 5' X 5' minimum, insulate (I used 2 sheets back to back 3/4" foam board)Indoor/outdoor carpet on top of that. Shelves are a must also carpeted. 12 volt power system is nice, I even have a 12 volt portable tv in mine. The little buddy heaters are also a must. The more work you do up front the happier you will be in the end, Take your time let you imagination go wild, had both of mine I built for over 10 years, you will not regret it. The camera was crooked sorry.

Mine gets more nighttime pig hunting than deer hunting, so I have a solar panel, red lights inside. IR flood illuminators mounted on the outside corners. USB charger for the smartphone.
Its also a scent control blind, almost airtight when the plexiglass windows are closed. One small vent at the bottom and an outlet at the peak, that is connected to a 4" x 30' tall riser pipe. Since the bottom of the 30' pipe is buried about 2' in the sand, it doubles as a drain for the urinal.
We all need to practice Whoa more.

The most overlooked thing is a rifle rest that supports the whole gun and not a skinny sill

Mount bicycle water bottle holders as adult drink holders (and for spit bottles). A pool noodle cut to cover the front window rail makes a soft gun rest.

Jesus...
1. Cedar branch to prop open window cutout. 2. Really long cedar branch to evict civet cat living in the corner, who thinks this is a time share. 3. Multiple crushed beer cans to level front left corner due to subsidence (ongoing project).l 4. Toilet paper. Always, toilet paper. 5. Can of wasp spray. 6. Extra cushions for broken down old office chair. (Didn't used to need these. WTF?)

A small cabinet to hold the stove, the coffee pot, and plastic tub with the hot chocolate and instant oatmeal. A buddy heater. A wide shooting shelf which is usually full of coco and oatmeal. A couple of shooting bags.

Hey Nate I agree, but you have to admit it's a guy thing. We may be over the edge but so what like I said take your time have fun make you neighbors talk about you (they probably are anyway). Let me say this building a blind is kinda like building a garage/shop/man cave. It WILL NOT be big enough, there will ALWAYS be something to add, and you will learn alot, good and bad about yourself. Heck I may build another just to sell.
