I thought I'd give an update on Kimber's progression. We have been working through TT and about to start pattern blinds. The double T has been our biggest challenge thus far in training. The great thing about Kimber though is she has a great attitude and seems to be forgiving of the many mistakes I'm making trying to do this for the first time.

Duck season has also really slowed down our formal training but she's getting the real deal training and learning what this is all about.

She is already able to do more than any dog Ive ever had. My old lab has had hundreds if not thousands of retrieves and she's been great but I never took the time to make her truly steady and never learned the blind game. Kimber is also just naturally more physically gifted. You can tell a big difference between them from their breeding.

I can't wait to see what Kimber is like when she's got 6-7 seasons under her belt.

A fre pics of her first couple hunts

Great pictures.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Don't wish that time to soon. The time we have with a good dog slips away too quickly.
I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.
