I should be, but I ended up in the ER Wednesday afternoon with a blood clot in my left leg. My season may be over.

I am sitting in a tree stand just north of Longview in Gregg County. About 46 degrees and a little windy. Sitting over a pasture edge with a pile of corn I threw out a few days ago. Had a spike come out about 7:15 and got within 30 yards. Easy shot but waiting on a good buck. I plan on sitting in this tree until noon if it comes to that. Man I hope it doesn't!!

Not a thing here. Not even one of the two pairs of does that hang together. Did see a bobcat stroll by.

My son ended up shooting two nice toms, both had about 9 inch beards and about 1-1.25 inch spurs.
And he came across the group of turkey after getting out of his blind and doing a little walking. Slow day for the most part, slow weekend for sure.

Went out with a friend to LBJ grasslands. Spotted a doe but couldn't get a clean angle on her so we didn't shoot. Long long day.

Do you have land north of Longview? I've seen some good deer off of Hamby and around Bar K the last few days.
