I hate shooting in the afternoon. 'Really screws up my evening whiskey and cigar, but the last two were evening. Last season, one morning, one evening.

Rarely will shoot in evening. I typically drive back and forth an hour each way and don't like messing with it at night. Ironically, tend to hunt more evenings than mornings.

My biggest bucks have been shot in the evening and I tend to see better bucks at that time as well.
I'd prefer to shoot in the morning so I can track, gut, skin, etc with sunlight. But, I haven't shot a buck this year so I guess that doesn't answer your question. Hopefully this weekend!

This year have shot 2 bucks and both were around 9:00 am. In our area the deer seem to be moving later than in the past.

75-80% of all my bucks are in the mornings, but to be fair, I hunt two mornings for every one evening. (Sat & Sunday morning, and Saturday evening. Heading home on Sunday evening.)
Cabin rental in Pagosa Springs, Co. Sleeps 10, If interested please PM me.

I have my best luck around 8:30 in the morning or 15 minutes before sunset.
