Hello friends. Some time ago I bought a 6 "taurus 357 revolver.
What I do not know is the concrete model in question. I tried to look for the serial number on the website of Taurus, but it must be an old revolver because the finder can not find it. Does anyone know what model it is?

With the cylinder open you should be able to see the model number stamped on the frame behind the cylinder yoke.

Might be able to find the answer here Click Link

I believe it is a Model 66 or 669VR. The early model 66 had that rear sight, but the barrel rib was not vented. The 669VR had a vented rib, but a different rear sight. Of course, there could have been other variations and production changes.
