Here is a link to the product on Anderson's website:

https://www.andersonrifles.com/product/andersons-aor-16-6-5-grendel-complete-upper/

Stated to be 1.5 MOA accurate , unsure if that is with Wolf steel cased or match ammo...

Oh by the way Anderson turned these out for Wolf and has introductory priced them at $ 399.00.

Best deal on the Internet, wouldn't you agree?

rifle

my thought exactly. Don't like the exposed gas block or the short handguard or the type of handguard. With that said I can see why it's 400. Couple hundred bucks and you can have it looking good though but that's why I'd rather assemble my own stuff.

So a 40.00 13 or 15 inch free float handguard appears to negate the aesthetic issues....

If it's over MOA it wouldn't live in my safe for long.

I don't have a problem with the gas block or the handguard, especially at that price. But the accuracy wouldn't cut it for my use.

$40? Try $150+.

There are some Chinese made free floats on eBay for around 40-60 bucks. But yea for a quality free float 15" you're looking at around 150-200 easy. Plus low pro gas block because a rail won't go over that honker of a gas block.

Anderson when they first came out the owner claimed some outlandish stuff like it never needing lube or it was self lubing something to that effect and then created a bunch of accounts to give false reviews of his products. There is a thread on ARFCOM about it. I'm sure they're fine just no where near what he was claiming, but I personally don't want to do business with someone with those business ethics.

Here is one of the examples I referred to above.

Not trying to hijack your thread pig popper, but just want people to know about Anderson manufacturing.

I used to buy the DPMS free float varmint style for 40 bucks all day , good point on the gas block that's another 18 bucks.

I get what your saying about ARFCoM , personally I believe the entire marketing/forum "sponsorship" leads to tactics like this as competition is hyper-competitive.

Not condoning it but I will say that a near 7 year old transgression should be excusable given the recent track record of the company.

I'll see what sort of gas block handguard deal can be had this Black Friday / Cyber Monday and post back here.

Hey it is USA made , that's a plus right!?!?!

Only dealings I have ever had with Anderson is one of their stripped lowers I bought a few months ago for $60. It's in spec (as far as I can tell), finish is good, and it has held up well so far.
