Finally got to shoot something other than paper or steel with the 47 Lapua. This pig was facing me about 100 yards . I believe the new ELD x bullet will do just fine however more testing will be done. Warning graphic photo ! If you rely on a safe place DO NOT look.

The 7mm 162 M version have been pretty potent on pigs and yotes so far for me.

That's what I'm loading in my .260. What velocity are you getting from the Lapua? I worked up to 2825 with mine and seemed to hit a happy place and stopped.

I just loaded some up for my 260ai as well and went to the range on Saturday. Accuracy was pretty good, less than 0.3".

What load are you using to get to 2825? I forgot my chrono at home, so I won't have a speed until next time I go out.

I don't have my book in front of me but I think it's 48.5gr (could be +/- a tenth or two) 4831sc in Lapua brass with WW primers. Good solid .5 - .6 MOA load. ES is a little higher than I like for a target load, but I needed something to run with for hunting season so I settled on it for now. I'll tweak it a bit more come January.

Good to know. Right now I'm using Nosler brass, but have lapua on hand. At 47gr there is the slightest crunch, I could put more in, but not sure I could get to 48.5gr.

With the 129sst my current load in the 260ai is 49.4 gr and it's compressed! No pressure signs and good accuracy.
