Any of you guys have any experience hunting Lake Meredith? It's pretty close to home and I have thought about going over there a few times to hunt deer/turkey/duck. For the guys that have, how was your experience? Is it worth the trip?

We made the 7hr trip to find it very crowded. If you don't plan on walking in 2-3 miles don't expect to see much. Every hill top had hunter orange on it when we were there in '08.
No doubt about the AR crap, just damn shame hunters don't have self control and knowledge

When I played baseball at Frank Philips a couple buddies and I always went hunting out there. We did more duck hunting but we did find a couple good hunting spots for whitetail. Also seen some monster mullies in the achery only area. Just like any land if you take a couple days to scout and find good feeding/ pinch points you can see deer. We built a man made blind and seen between 3-5 deer everytime but nothing special.
