We're in Foard county S of Crowell.
We were out at the end of last week and weekend, young bucks were chasing pretty good.

It's starting to heat up. More bucks on their feet searching this past week. We're in North Hardeman.

I drove 5000 acres last evening in Wilbarger. Rut is full tilt. Bucks with swollen necks chasing the girls all over creation. Lots of big deer being harvested this year and seeing pre drought numbers of does.

Searching the world over for the perfect Chile Relleno.

Hunting Dickens county and have seen minimal rut activity. Young bucks are half heartedly chasing but don't seem highly motivated. It has been really warm with day time temps in the mid 70's. Hopefully things will break soon.

Same in Motley county. To me at least it's just not right when you're sitting in a stand in a short sleeve shirt swatting yellow jackets. Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age confused2
