Beretta 390 doesn't fit me quite right. Original finish on the stock is beautiful and gun shoots wonderfully, but I find myself looking down on the vent rib and aiming is a tad unnatural.

Can a gunsmith add some drop? About how much would that cost and would the butt plate have to be swapped also?

You might try changing the spacers between the stock and the back of the receiver. Beretta makes different one's. You might check with Cole Guns in Maine or Joel Etchen Guns in Pennsylvania for the different one's.

Check with your local skeet club. They can recommend a person who can take care of this for you. It may require more than a comb height adjustment in order for it to fit properly. Cast also needs to be properly fit. A good fitter will need to have you and the gun together at the same time in order to fit it properly. Otherwise you're guessing. Sending it off for adjustment without knowing exactly what you need is a gamble. Shotguns aren't aimed ... they're pointed. Your eye is the rear sight. If it's out of alignment the gun won't shoot where you're expecting it to.

Have you adjusted the shims on your 390?

If you don't have the original shims, Brownells has them. You can also gain drop on most stocks by adding a spacer to the butt, but that may affect your LOP too much. P_102

He's in Southlake and is very good at fitting a shotgun. He fitted two for me. He's slower than molasses on other stuff, but he is good.
