I found a place where rats were coming through a piece of tin to get at my compost pile. so I decided to do a little hunting. took out my Benjamin 392 .22 cal air rifle, stood behind a tree about 15 ft from the rat hole, waited five minutes and BAM. got this little sucker. now I hope yall appreciate the picture because as soon as the rat hit the ground one of my blood thirsty chickens came swooping out of no where and grabbed it. I chased that chicken for 10 minutes. not just for the pic, but didn't want to be eating rat eggs, she is one of my main layers. hope to be having some more fun with this spot. I know there has to be more than one rat.

Good pics...but a video of you chasing a chicken with a rat would have been much more entertaining. rofl

Good job! Ratting/mousing is a lot of fun. It doesn't hold the interest here in the States that it does in Europe and Australia, which is a shame. Keep up the good work!

Wasn't aware "mousing" was a thing across the pond. Learn something new everyday

Funny what chickens will eat. Ours go after lizards in our yard and are decimating the population.

Yeah, I did a bit of a spoof video for giggles and grins when hog hunting wasn't going so well. This was in response to the ratting vids I actually find somewhat entertaining to watch...

My vid, 120+ yards...

There are probably dozens more of these, LOL.

No problem. Add some seasoning and everything's fine. What's your pleasure? Extra spicy with a side of beans? eeks333

I agree with Snake Wrangler, a video of you chasing the chicken should be in order.
