Had the little buddy for my stand. Gives off slight odor, today is first time i ever turned it on.

Deer distance is between 20 and 120 yds from my stand.

My stand is very drafty and does not hold air well. Thoughts on smell. Effects?

As always, wind direction!!! I'm sitting on the puter instead of my tripod because the wind is wrong.

Had them standing under the stand and had 2 heaters going...

If you have a Little Buddy just be careful when they are on High they will light up your face with Glow...

I like my little Dearborn better than a little buddy...

With those old school dearborns, do you have to have vent, and redo any hoses?

Most blinds aren't too tight anyway. Plenty of ventilation.

I re drilled and re worked all the ports sir..
As long as you maintain a blue and not yellow flame..

But I agree and always keep the Deer Views cracked Amigo up

My stand is built out of tube steel and has green rock wool insulation and is pretty tight so I stand on the side of caution cheers

If it scares off the deer oh well, I don't like being cold.

One of my guys here this weekend has a Little Buddy. He notice a slight propane smell this weekend. He lit it and it caught on fire, internal leak somewhere inside it. Luckily it went out and no damage. Going to call them tomorrow to see about repairs. Heater is 2 years old.

A gentleman that Crappie fishes with us had one explode and he spent a week in parkland burn unit and the only thing that saved his eyes were his glasses...
His son heard the explosion in another stand and found him. I would check it out with some dishwashing soap and water.

I've honestly never had a deer bust me because of scent in 23 years of hunting. I'm 28 now. If they were as weary of scent that hunters make them out to be, you'd never see deer. Movement is what I think spooks them worse than anything. I'm not saying people haven't been busted by deer because of scent but I think your chances of them seeing you is greater than smelling you.

ninja With all of the Sulphur smells oozing out of my blind, the deer never seem to mind. I carry a blanket, and dress warm on the colder days. But there have been many times that I'd loved to have had a heater. cowboy

I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.
