I took my 6 year old hunting to try and get his first deer and the deer didn't cooperate, but on the bright side on the way out of the hunting area we came across a whole herd of pigs. We shot three but only recovered this one. He was pretty excited. I usually only load 3 rounds in the 10 round mag for my ar-15 when deer hunting, but luckily for no reason Saturday I loaded it with all 10.

Perhaps it's just your son in the background but he looks like a brute!

Yeah he was bigger than what I thought it took two 223 to the noggin to put him down dropped him with the first one and thought he was down for the count. Got the truck and drove down to get him and he was back on his feet. The second one was the end of him.

Good work, and congratulations to both of you for scoring the hog and taking a big 'un out of the gene pool!

Didn't weigh him but I would imagine he's around 300. It was a chore for me and my buddy to get up on the bed of the truck and we're not little guys.

I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.

I'm thinking your idea of a fairly large pig is a little different than mine!

No too much creative photography. Just to give it perspective that is a flatbed that covers dually tires on a ram 3500 he's pretty big.
