I don't know much about these rifles. The new "Hell's Canyon" series looks friggin awesome grin and Outdoor Life's review of it makes it even more glorious. However, I could never find a "MOA-guarantee" on the website. I've never shot a Browning rifle, only held an old A-Bolt wood stock 243. Beautifully made guns indeed, but the lack of information on them has me confused. For reference, I'm more familiar with Vanguard, R700, T3, and I think the 510 Trophy-something-something by Savage.

OH WAIT....I've used a BAR a few times so I LIED...lol. But seriously, I'd love to get more information about the bolt guns Browning makes. Thanks smile

I have an X-Bolt White Gold Medallion in .270 Win. Beautiful rifle, nicely figured walnut stock, Super Feather trigger, smooth as silk bolt cycling and outstanding accuracy with Federal and Remington over-the-counter 130 grain ammo. Enough so that it's one of a very few of my rifles that I don't handload for.

It's one of my favorites.

My xbolt Carbon stainless stalker in 270wsm might be my most accurate stock rifle I own. Love it.

How would you rate the trigger on that rifle?

Far superior to any factory Remington 700 trigger. The xbolt has a good, not great, factory trigger. IMO it's one of the better ones versus other rifles near the same price point.

I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

I love browning rifles. One of my favorites is the a-bolt

For my money it's one of the best buys, because I don't like synthetic stocks or real cheap wood

I have an A-Bolt Composite Stalker and it's a great rifle. The action is very smooth and doesn't have any slop. As others have said, the trigger is really good for a factory trigger. I would say it's really close, if not equal to, the factory trigger in my Tikka. I really like the 60° bolt throw too.

They look pretty and shoot well, but in my experience savage will out shoot at half the price.

That hell canyon looks nice. I am curious how good the stock is. 6lbs, coated for weather, threaded, good combo

It's a good factory trigger. Easy to adjust down to about 3.5lbs. Clean and crisp. Probably the best factory trigger I have that hasn't been tuned at all.

I have a Browning XBolt with a 20inch Threaded Barrel in 308.

Trigger is 3 1/2 lbs from factory and crisp.
Accuracy is excellent 1/2 MOA with Winchester 150 Ballistic Silver TIPs, with the Beck 308 Amax sup-sonic ammo is opens up to just over an inch.
I really like the magazine.
Action is very smooth.

This. I got an A-Bolt Medallion in .243 for my son and I love shooting it. Beautiful wood and very accurate.

Browning rifles shoot great, have a smooth action, and have strong build quality. I personally don't like the bolt handle, that's really my only gripe and that's easily changed out.

Friend of my has an A bolt in .223 WSM and it's a heck of a shooter.

Too ugly for me to think about. If I wanna shoot one, my friend has one and so does his dad.

Hope none of y'all need thier customer service!!! So far it's the worst I have seen from any hunting product manufacture! Been waiting since February for a replacement stock from them. Will never purchase or recommend a Browning product ever again!!

I would look into an aftermarket stock, in fact I would have done so quite a while back. We ARE talking about a synthetic stock, if I you are the gentleman that I am thinking of.

I would just look around to see what alternatives might be available from Boyds, etc..

If you call again, explain that this is an ongoing problem, and ask to speak to a supervisor or department head. Never under any circumstances become impatient, irate, sarcastic or abusive with a customer service representative, might as well cut your own throat as they seldom respond well to that.

I've dealt with Browning/Winchester Customer Service a couple of times with good luck. Let's hope your issue is a one off.

I wouldn't mind a Hell's Canyon in 26 Nosler.

Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

I've got three Browning rifles and I love each one of them. I have an A-bolt in 25-06 which I finally have found a great round for and I have two Browning BBRs, 7Mag and .270. They both shoot lights out! So I love the fit and finish as well as the accuracy!

I just bought an X-bolt Hell's Canyon SPEED edition in 6.5 creed. My first range trip I was NOT impressed. I couldn't get a decent group with Hornady 143 gr. ELD-X bullets or 120gr or Hornady. I ordered a few boxes of other ammo to see if I can get anything to shoot in it before I call Browning. All but 1 Remington 700s I've ever bought were shooters out of the box.

Handled the AB3 wood stock today. Nice finish. Thoughts on this? Accuracy wise?

I have an x-bolt medallion in .30-06 and it is a tack driver. I have owned several different deer rifles in my lifetime and I have never owned or shot a more accurate gun. One of my buddies has the a-bolt in .270 and he hunts with it exclusively now because of the accuracy.

I've had 2 A-bolt IIs that were/are very accurate. I've got 2 X-bolts. One is very accurate and the other is mediocre. The X-bolt has a trigger that can't be adjusted down enough for my taste and there's nothing a gunsmith can do to lighten it. The only replacement trigger offered is a JARD and that's almost $250.

I've only got one Vangard S2. It also is very accurate and the trigger was adjustable light enough not to neeed changing out, although I did put a Timney in it. I almost wished I hadn't because the trigger assembly on the Vanguard is a thing of beauty. The noticeable difference between the two is the weight. Vanguards are noticeably heavier. Too heavy, IMO, for lugging around Colorado mountains, but just fine for Texas stand hunting.

They sucks. What's the twist rate? I saw the 28 Nosler was slow twist so you can't run the heavies frown

It might need to shoot a few more rounds to settle in and start shooting well. I've had a few rifles that were like that.

Buying some different loads was a good idea. I hope it starts behaving itself for you soon. Let us know how it goes.
