I've always been told to cut into small strips, soak in butter milk and then chicken fry it

Fillet the breast off. Throw away everything else. Cut into strips, roll in flour, and fry.

I'd soak it overnight in buttermilk, the just chicken fry it. Wild turkey is one those, "son you just ain't had it cooked right meats" Which I am still waiting for that meal, doubt I'll ever experience it.

Best way IMO is to make schnitzel with it. Yep, schnitzel is good. Tenderized/seasoned/fried with some cream gravy and HMN! I like to filet/fry the breast and throw the rest of the carcass on the smoker for a while. That smoked turkey is awful good in a gumbo.

Chicken fried the breast, cut into small cubes and make chili, grind it. He legs are a pain to process but not too bad the thighs are no problem. Again cube small and make chili and burritos from that or grind. Pretty sure if you just breast them out and toss the legs and thighs it's wanton waste. We've had no problem eating them. Even baked a couple for Thanksgiving using a red wine recipe and put bacon over it to keep it from dryin out.

I've only shot one Jake. I plucked it as soon as I shot it. I baked it in the oven just like a domestic turkey. It was fine.

Got this one last year and smoked it Wednesday. Wrapped bacon around it and removed at 150 degrees. I even smoked the legs. My son and his friend ate the legs down to the bone. The breast were great. I was really surprised it wasn't more dry. When they were done I wrapped them in foil for about 20 minutes.
I once drank muddy water out of a hoof print and was dang glad to get it.
