I've seen some ducks today on ponds that didn't have any a few days ago. How do y'all think this strong south wind switching to a strong north wind tonight will effect the ducks?
I'm hunting tomorrow morning and should have a good N wind and I'm hunting Saturday morning and it's calling for the winds to shut down to nearly nothing.
I'm thinking this south wind may keep the ducks that are already here from moving much and hopefully have some more come through tomorrow with this front.

In my opinion, this south wind being so strong will have the birds staying put. However when it switches to a north wind, my bet would be that ALL the birds are riding it south, especially with such a drastic temp change. The good news is that the birds that move out of North Texas will be replaced by MUCH more from the north. Or at least I hope.

Just as important as maybe having MORE dux is having NEW dux. Ones that are more willing to drop in to check out the party.
