They are a little short on facts. That's a standard carbine kit that's been around for many years and no law enforcement that I'm aware of is concerned about it. Maybe if they would do some real investigation they would find every firearm is made up mostly of parts with no serial nos., making them "untraceable" too. They would also learn the rifle in their photo is missing a pretty important part that does have a serial no. and is 100% inoperable without it. Yet another attempt by the media to make a mountain out of a mole hill and act like this is some new, heinous way for gun nuts to kill everyone.

Yeah, plus it doesn't include one of those "30 caliber magazine clips that will disperse 30 bullets in 1/2 second", according to a knowledgeable California politician.

WTF? No parts kits are "Ghost guns"? Why don't they have a picture of shotgun barrel, plugs, etc.

I have to deal with ghost guns we seize fairly regularly and that's not one at all. They are manufactured in other countries, stamped and serialized, and appear to be legitimate until the etrace is done.

""Under the law, no manufacturer-stamped serial number is needed if you make a gun for personal use.""WOW. How false of a statement could they have made?

""Under the law, no manufacturer-stamped serial number is needed if you make a gun for personal use.""WOW. How false of a statement could they have made? If you make a gun for personal use there is no s# requirement, example 80% lower for an AR does not require a S# until you choose to transfer to another individual either via gift or sale. Nothing false in the statement, what I do believe is false is the implied danger from this rule. A couple years ago 3D printed guns were going to be on every plane, school and hospital; morgues were going to be overwhelmed from all the killing. I do not recall a single incident with a 3D firearm being reported. Looking for danger where it isn't.

""Under the law, no manufacturer-stamped serial number is needed if you make a gun for personal use.""WOW. How false of a statement could they have made? As crazy as it sounds it's actually true and I support it 100%. Hardly anything else is required by law to be serialized for the simple fact of tracking it. Besides maybe car VINs. It's BS.
