Got a 300 win mag that I need a brake on. Barrel is threaded now with thread protector. Looking to put a brake on it from time to time as I work up loads or play paper punching. Any recommendations on brakes?

Apa series is about as good as it gets.

I would not recommend JEC only for the fact that hes a crook and very dishonest. Jason makes a very good brake though, which is a shame but hes burned alot of bridges over the last 2 years. Do some research on JEC, lots of orders placed, no brakes ever sent out. Guys have waited months and some over a year and never received the product or a refund. But if you can find one and verify its on hand, they do work very well.

I will however recommend John at area 419, he he just released his "hellfire" self timing brake and you can also get an adapter for most supressors on the market. Thats the biggest downfall to most suppressor MB/qds, they actually suck at being a MB when shooting unsuppressed.

$164 sounds steep but the adapters are only $40 allowing you to run the brake on multiple rifles toolless which is an industry 1st.

Closest thing that they list is a .308 not 300 win mag?

308 and 300 win mag are both 30 cal. Same diameter bullets used in both calibers.

Trust me, it's plenty for a 300wm. Knocked a 308 shooting 175's down to about a 223 in felt recoil

Fat Bast@rd

You just need the barrel threaded. The new Gen II is built where the threaded portion is a swivel, and works like a jam nut, pure genius! You time it as you see fit.
