This was krylon. Really wasn't all that hard. Most important thing is to clean everything good with like brake cleaner first and then lay down a flat tan base coat to work off of. Go lightest to darkest on your layers.

Man, that looks awesome!

How does that do with the heat?

Also, his might be a dumb question, but does it feel sticky? I'm always worried if I spray paint my stock it will feel stick.

Not sticky or tacky at all, the clear coat knocks it down to a solid, matte finish.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

some enamel base spray paints will melt and get sticky if they get hot, but it would have to be like left in a vehicle under the windshield or out in the desert on a 110 degree day in the sunlight kind of thing to get it that warm. If you avoid the really cheap clear coats, you shouldn't have to worry about that though. Most new spray paints are mixtures of acrylic and enamel.

I painted my AR a couple of years ago using Rustoleum spray paint, and it's still holding up. Excuse my husband and the dogs in the last picture--it was the only one I had of the entire thing put back together. ;-)
