What are some good dehumidifiers to use inside gun safes? Have a 42 capacity gun safe. On the coast so it gets pretty humid even in winter.

Golden Rod and I have a Remington kind you plug in when the beads turn blue to get them pink again.

Thanks, I will check those out. I started using just the Remington pouches at first and they worked but recently, I guess with opening the gun safe more cause of hunting and moving my granddad's plus pop's guns in there as well has made those pouches useless. They turn pink which is bad atleast every sunday I have to change them out.

I use one of those giant silica packets. The one I have, you can bake in the oven if the absorbed moisture is too high. Plus, when we get some of he bigger silica bags from like furniture boxes or something like that then I save those and throw it in. I live in Houston and haven't had a problem since I started using these.

The rods are not really dehumidifiers. They heat up which circulates the warm air in the safe and prevents any condensation which leads to rust. They definitely help, but they do not remove moisture from the air.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

my safe came with a huge silica bag in it. I leave it in there and just bake it once in a while.
