Every animal population that you artificially control will have an impact on another. In the case of raccoons, they like to eat turkey eggs. If you can reduce the number of raccoons in a given are then your turkey population will benefit.

I had to move a varmint cage from one feeder to another due to cows licking the spinner plate. Plan was to take a new cage with me to the lease this past weekend. Imagine my frustration when I found raccoons had emptied 200-250 pounds of corn in a little over a month. I had pics of 8-10 raccoons at a time attacking my feeder. My plan is to put my suppressed 10-22 to work on my next trip. So yes, shoot those suckers.

I take a .17 with me for pigs and coyotes if coons show up I'll kill them also.........No quarter........
