7 Days that simply rocked. I hunted 2 states and 2 species and got to hunt with my family and made some new friends. I need a nap!!

I have asked for score ideas out of curiosity. It isn't a big deal to me as I prefer the story but these are big deer to me so I would like input.

Sunday - 11/6
After 5 years of tag sandwiches in Colorado I got to fill one. Not the biggest in the woods but man was it a fun hunt.

Hit my lease on the way home and scored a nice 8. Biggest deer I had on camera all year.

Score idea? My uneducated guess 120ish

Made it home and rested so I had seen a cull 7 hanging around my lease and out of nowhere my oldest who has shot deer but not really his things asked to go hunt. I think he forgot how much fun it was. I tested his patience making him pass a few younger deer but finally the 7 came out and he dropped him.

Made it home and finally thought rest was in the cards but my wife asked if she could go shoot a pig on 100 acres I have access to. She is a self declared recovering tree hugging liberal who only shot her first deer last year. This boy walked out at 250 moving away chasing does. Asked is she was comfortable because we never get deer of this caliber on our property. She said not that far and she asked me to shoot it. This is by far the best deer I have ever seen while hunting.

Score ideas? 135ish?

Unfortunate but intentional.

My buddy bought the land for cows but pulled them off about a year ago so the grass and weeds are crazy high. At 300 yards it was all I could see. But my gun shoots a 1" group at 300 yards. He came out at 250 but was moving away. My wife and I were prone on a berm so I was rock solid on him and stopped him at a known distance. I don't recommend it but I was confident I was shooting the deer and not just shooting AT the deer.

I get that just ruins the chance to use the cape for a mount or the skull for a euro at least I would think. Good shooting

Yeah it was a concern but I have a good taxidermist so he will make something work or I will have one heck of a set of rattling horns banana

Perhaps you can use a different cape if this can't be salvaged.
