I have 2 Lee Perfect Powder measures, and when loading rifle cartridges I have been well satisfied with them. Neither is extremely accurate, but they allow me to throw a charge and then trickle up, which I like to do since I'm not in a hurry. BUT...... I loaded my first 300BLK loads using H110. WOW. Powder EVERYWHERE. It ran out of the sides of the drum, and was binding up the thing terribly. I took it apart and then reassembled making certain it was back together properly and tightened it up as much as possible while still allowing it to function correctly. Still dropped powder all over the place. Has anyone loaded fine pistol powder with the Lee and had success? But it wasn't a BAD thing altogether because I used it as an excuse to order a new Redding #3 measure.

I use one but I only reload rifle and it does well with ball powder but it does leak a little. It's only a $25 powder measure so I'm actually amazed it does so well for what it costs.

H110 leaks from mine. I weigh every 5th charge, it is still pretty accurate.
For rifle loads I use Lee dippers. Find the one that is just under my charge amd trickle up.
Shoot. Eat. Repeat.

A lot of guys that use these lap them with a fine lapping compound and then run them with the screw tight enough that the drum is free enough to only turn with a bit of pressure.
I've owned two since they were first offered and haven't had any problems with either although I did lap them both right away. I have since heard that you get a real good finish if you stick the two parts to be mated into the freezer overnight prior to being lapped but have never tried that.
I just bought an Auto Drum and like the PPM better with its micrometer setting in that I always work off the VMD of the powder and the cc of the charge.

H110 leaks from mine. I weigh every 5th charge, it is still pretty accurate Mine throws reasonably accurate charges with the H110 (I trickle up always anyway) ...... but I end up with a huge mess on the bench afterwards from all of the leaking. I'm hoping the Redding 3 will be better than this.

I like my Lee measure but when using ball powders I use the RCBS one. With stick powders and the Hodgdon SC powders I get more consistent throws from the Lee.

Just used the new Redding #3 and WOW ... it is light years better than the old Lee. But then again it costs 5 times as much. Glad I bought it and it was well worth the money. The only thing I don't like is the cap on the reservoir. Not as easy to take off and replace as the Lee.

No problems here. Tap at the top, tap at the bottom Had no problems with the charges it dropped (read 1st post). But it leaked powder all over the bench and floor when I used H110.

Although it leaks a little, I found it very accurate with ball powder. It has a harder time with throwing consistent charges with extruded powder. At least that has been my experience.

Leverevolution powder leaked everywhere a few years ago
I bought the newer Lee powder Auto-Drum powder measure but haven't taken it out of the box yet.
