Where'd the deer go? Saw nothing this afternoon. It was getting close to dark, so I figured I'd just go back to the house and eat a venison burger (from Sunday's spike). So, I put the binocs up, and the book I was reading, put my jacket on, and closed the window on the left and then the window on the right. Got ready to stand up and leave, and here's the coyote. Moving sort of fast. Got the window back open, which takes a minute in a Redneck Blind, and blasted his evil fawn eating heart out. A slow day turned out Ok. I have a lot of 100 gr Nosler BT's to shoot up before I go to the 120's, but like Billy Carrington sang "I'm the man for the job".

And...I just had a physical and my doctor said I needed to drink 2 glasses of wine per day, so I'm working on my prescription.

Good for you, 603! I'd recommend that you change doctors, because only 2 glasses of wine per day is "old school." Current thinking is more like 3 a day. . .

Wasn't much of a coyote. Good thick pelt. Probably the smallest coyote I've shot in quite a while. I didn't take a picture. Man, that 100 gr Nosler BT made a real mess of that rascal. Reminds me of a comment Dad made many years ago when he shot a coyote with the Ruger UL in 270 that we kids bought him for Christmas - "son, that 270 is bad medicine. There was blood and coyote chunks everywhere".

I was beginning to think that maybe I had killed off all the coyotes, since I hadn't seen one in a while.
