Me and a group of guys are heading to Cordoba, Argentina Jan 11-13th. If anyone has any experience and tips it would be greatly appreciated. We are going with David Denies.

I do not know that man, but surely you will hunt very well. You and the other members of this forum should know that Cordoba is not the only place where you can do a good pigeon hunting, if Cordoba is the most promoted and therefore one of the most expensive ...I advise the use of gloves to protect your fingers, as well as the use of lenses to protect your eyesight, and the use of earplugs to protect your ears ... I have seen bleeding the fingers of my clients from so much shooting. And I give you daily advice on your hunting license and keep it with you.I do not know the place where you go, but there are millions of pigeons, you will shoot them to the point!I wish you a very good hunt and welcome to Argentina !!

A group of friends and I hunted with Denies about 7 years ago. You will be treated like royalty (the food is amazing) and be exhausted from shooting within a few days!! No matter how often you hear it, you will not believe the number of doves to shoot.
My suggestions:
1.) Buy a form fitting recoil pad ( I suggest EvoShield)- even if you choose to shoot a 20 gauge.
2.) Don't take your own gun (unless you just really want to). It will save a lot of hassle and wear and tear on your gun.
3.) Buy the best ear protection you can afford. I would suggest having some custom made to your ear canal. The models that allow you to hear (electronic) would be more fun- so you can hear your surroundings, but still be protected.
4.) Buy a good pair of leather shooting gloves
5.) Take a good camera

One of my customers goes every year. He said he spends more on whores than shotgun shells. Take some extra cash if that's something that interests you. I've seen the pictures, that's why I'll never go down there with him. They're unbelievably beautiful.

I've hunted the Rio Seco and Guayascate lodges with www.handhoutfitters.com. Alex and Zeke run a top notch outfit, They are by far the best bang for your buck, you'll be treated like royalty.

Well you can use that extra cash for more shells. It should be a blast. Hoping to go back sometime soon.

Best rule of thumb I have heard is about 1-1500 a day for shells
