How long till you start going to a gun show again?
I believe in 6-8 months the right prices will be back to decent affordable levels.
There is one this weekend in Ft Worth. Too early, IMO.

CDNN sent out an electronic flyer earlier that included 5 pmags free w/ an AR purchase.. Guess they're trying to unload their newly 'overstocked' supply now..
I really hate to do what I am about to do, because it will be very painful for you.

To me gun shows r only good for one thing: the ability to have a newbie physically hold a bunch of handguns to see which ones fit them best. That is literally it.

I go when either I have nothing better to do or I need something specific I usually can't find locally. Just like last weekend I needed some more 9mm so I went and picked up 1000 rounds cheaper than I could mail order it. And a few mags and a new barrel all at internet cost. Guns were even decent priced suprisingly being weekend before election.

where do y'all mail order your ammo? i was gonna go to the gun show in FTW this weekend to look around and check out prices on some ammo. I've only gone to the gun show once and the gun prices were higher than they were at bass pro and academy on the exact same gun. main reason I'm going this weekend is my boys have talked about wanting to go to a gun show so i figured why not.

I've been to a gun show once, about eight years ago in Ft. Worth. It was fun for about an hour but I saw nothing I couldn't get online for less. I've never had the desire to go back.

I go because I enjoy looking at all the guns and I sometimes buy targets from the guy that's usually there selling them. As for buying anything else...IF I see something I like at the right price...seldom...I will buy it. But mainly I go for the entertainment.

My local show last year was just the couple of gunstores and a guy asking $4,000 for surplus rifles and katanas.

I did one on nov 5th. prices on hunting and cowboy style stuff was decent. ammo was high, and anything black, tactical, or semi auto was through the roof. one booth was selling 250$ hi points lol.
The only thing flat earthers have to fear is sphere itself

I like to look for unusual stuff like custom Mauser and things they don't make anymore. It's been five or six years since my last one, though.

I don't know if I'll ever go to another one. This. Yup. Gun shows and public ranges have been off my list of go-to places for years now. Got tired of getting muzzle swept by the ignorant at both places a long time ago.

Last one I went to I found a bubba'd Krag for $150. Other than I was there helping out a friend, I don't go.

Years ago I went to gun shows looking for good deals. Now I don't go to many and when I do it's more to kill time and look at a bunch of cool guns. If I happen to find a good deal while I'm there it's just a bonus.

I'm not a fan of the cover charge and parking charge to go look at 200 table of the same crapola. good point, I forgot about the cover charge Really these "shows" are a waste of time unless you are handgun or AR shopping lots of CHEAP crap, very few quality guns which are WAY over priced (Colt Pythons and S&W M-19, 27, etc.) we could see gun prices begin to drop????
