Jumped in the boat with a buddy of mine & got all up in the stripers this morning on Whitney.. There were more birds working than I've seen in years.. Thousands of gulls.. We found a few fish too.. Then we blew the lower unit & had to get towed in.. Still a good day..

Even with a blown motor, it was a better day than a day working.

That's the highs and lows of fishing all in a single day right there. Congrats on the mess of fish!

It is BIL, I hadn't heard much about the fishing on Whitney the last few years but it seems the stripers are doing well this year.. Lots of healthy fish & right now they're feeding heavily!

Bait is still producing better results than swim baits but silver glitter shad slabs also did well for us.. Bait is fairly difficult to find on Whitney so make sure you know where to find it or bring some with you..
