Doing a little future planning here. Anyone have any info on deer quality and population in the Quanah area?

Quality should be good. I know a guy that hunts there and he killed a 160 class last year. I work around there some and see lots of deer from the road. Good luck.

Our lease is about 8 miles west of Quanah. We see lots of deer. We actually had a couple mule deer doe on the game camera last season. Not sure how typical this is but they were there. We are actually out at the lease right now hoping my 10 year old gets his first deer. My 9 year old harvested his first buck on youth weekend. Always been happy with this area.
Take your kids hunting and you won't have to go hunting for your kids

I used to hunt outside of Quanah and loved it. We shouldn't have given up that lease. Good rack potential and big bodied deer. My experience has been that there aren't just tons of deer, but when you see a buck, there's a pretty good chance to be a good one.
