Great hog! I've killed a ton of hogs, but still never got a monster like that!

THanks, he was a big dude. I was way out in the middle of nowhere by myself so no, I didn't weigh him but he was big. I had enough trouble just rolling him over and getting a picture! had to position the grill of the ranger just right and make a redneck a way to hold my phone up! The timer function on an iphone is great

So, give us the gory details! Firearm; cartridge; distance from you to Big Ugly; DRT or did you have to run him down?

Congratulations on taking that big boy out of the gene pool!

Hey Mike, I have a browning hog stalker, 223. I our a day scope to call with using a Larue mount. Had coyotes killing kid goats. Did my stand but didn't calll anything so I decided to sit at a water hoping they would come in for a drink. I put my thermal scope on which also has a Larue return to zero mount, popped it on and sat around 125-150 yards watching. About 30 min after dark he came walking in and was walking away. I couldn't let him get away so I shot him right behind his left ear. He dropped immediately and just sent to kicking his legs a bit. 20 min after a smaller pig came in from same place, I shot him but must have been a bit off cause he squealed and went thrashing into brush. Then around 45 minutes later, a group of 4 came in to my 3-4 o'clock. I killed one and wounded another. If I had known I would have put it on an AR for quicker fire. Didn't know I was going to be over run by pigs.
