Picked up a xtrii 3-15 50mm off the hide at a bargain. Holy cow excellent scope, good glass, great illumination, nice turrets. Im a fan of the PST ive owned a few and still have one. But the xtrii makes the pst look silly..

Really good scopes. Yesterday a customer brought out an XTR II 4-20X. 100-800 yards, it performed flawlessly all day.
In fact, after he connected at 800, he noticed he was using 16X instead of the available 20X that he had.

I picked up a XTR II 5-25X. I really didn't care for the 25x but it was a good deal from a relative. Love the scope. My wife learned that she can shoot 300 yard softball sized groups with it, now she wants one.

Unfortunately I did not have the Burris with me the day I looked down range through the SHV. I really need them side by side for about five minutes to get an indication of which one is better. As best I can remember the SHV had a little more clarity, but that's not a hard statement, since I didn't have both scopes there to look through with the same lighting/ mirage.

Hands down a better scope than the shv. I didnt have a chance to compare the shv and xtrii side x side. I did compare the shv and pst. The shv was a couple steps better than the pst as far as glass. The xtrii compared with the pst glass blows it out of the water. Not even close. XTrii is in a class of its own compared to the shv and xtr in my opinion.

Yesterday evening, I sat for the last 30 minutes of legal light, and kept testing the light gathering capability of the scope. I was very impressed at how well it did! Even down to the last 5 minutes of legal light I could scan 300 yards out, and still have great clarity. I started at 10X, and turned it up to 15X, expecting clarity to degrade, nope, still could have hit anything I wanted from 5 yards, to 350 up to the last minute of legal light.
Very good light gathering from that scope!
